Teng-nya

Introducing the "Teng-nya Bench," a homage to the diverse heritage of early Malacca settlers. Rooted in Baba Nyonya culture, descendants of 15th-century Chinese settlers, this public bench seamlessly weaves Chinese and Malay influences. The tengkolok-inspired silhouette, adorned with intricate patterns, symbolizes the harmonious coexistence of two distinct cultures. Traditional Baba Nyonya tiles and carvings embellish the seat, creating a captivating narrative. Beyond a mere seat, it stands as a cultural crossroads, eloquently expressing the resonance of Malaysia's multifaceted traditions in every detail.
